Faithful Must Enter

Open the city gates and let the faithful nation enter, the nation whose people do what is right.
Isaiah 26:2 KJV or
Open the gates, and let the righteous nation come in, the nation that remains faithful.
God’s Word Version
We are in a season where the Lord is speaking of the gates of the city and the need to open them. It is a very interesting phrase used here in Isaiah to instruct on the gates of the city and the need to let the righteous IN. The common assumption is the gates are to be opened to allow the righteous out, to allow the law to come forth, and the King to sit in judgement. It was at the city gates that important business transactions were made, court was convened, and public announcements were heralded. The gates of Israelite walled cities typically had three chambers giving four sets of “doors” and defended spaces between, and allowed for places of business and politics in times of peace.
The necessity for the righteous nation to enter the city tells us the city is currently being run by the unrighteous and those who are not faithful. The evidence of this in our city is seen in the lawlessness and chaos that permeates the area. Those who would declare righteousness are pushed out and ridiculed, while those who partake in evil and sinful acts believe they rule the city. It is time for the gates to be opened and the King of Glory to be allowed in.
Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.
Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.
Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.
Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.

We are being called by the Lord to cast down the gates that are stopping the King from entering. The gates of:
1. Pride
2. Arrogance
3. Lawlessness
4. Religion
5. Witchcraft
6. Man
7. Deception
8. Lusting after evil things
9. Oppression
10. Strife
11. Humanism
12. Division
It is time for the righteous of the Lord to throw open the gates and deliver this city from its strong oppressors. We will not accomplish this through our deeds or abilities, but IN CHRIST. Join us as we press on to accomplish the Will of the Lord and set those in captivity free.
